SMS Subscribers can be managed through an online interface and desktop application (Subscriber Management Tool) -each with its own unique features.

A. Online Interface

Administrators can login, create, update and delete subscribers and generate a detailed report to view user activity, e.g.

number of messages sent per day,
number and percentage return messages received,
credits available in each account,
date when user last connected to send a message,
current version installed on user's desktop.

B. Subscriber Management Tool (SMT)

SMS 4 Professionals also includes a subscriber management tool that can be used to manage subscribers, calculate monthly payments, send bulk email, etc.

For the purpose of this document;
Service Provider - Qualitone Software Solutions, providing the SMS 4 Pro service to their clients.

Client - the company that acts as re-seller and service provider providing SMS 4 Professionals to subscribers in their country or region.

Subscriber - Members of the public and other professionals that are subscribers to the service managed by the CLIENT.

Main Features
The Subscriber Management Tool (SMT) can be used to;

Create a list of all subscribers to send them an email or SMS message - i.e. immediate communication with subscribers.
Download statistical data directly from the hosting server to create monthly invoices and statements on local computer - convenience.
Process monthly statistical data and create invoices and statements to include local currency, VAT percentage, etc - an automated process saves time and resources.
Print monthly invoices/statements on a normal desktop printer.
Print envelopes for all outstanding invoices on desktop printer.
Keep an updated database of subscribers together with a history of invoices and payments received.
Calculate total received payments during a pay period after reconciliation with bank statement.
Calculate total outstanding payments during a pay period.

Calculate the amount of money saved by each subscriber when using SMS instead of expensive phone calls to mobile phones - a powerful marketing feature to remind subscribers why they have joined the service.
Generate a list of subscribers that have been invoiced, together with date/time, amounts, and contact information - used to quickly pinpoint problem accounts and to follow up with an immediate phone call or SMS message when necessary.
Calculate and allocated discounts to subscribers when return SMS messages of a minimum target percentage is reached, according to client's
Generate a data file in text format that can be sent to a debit order system for automatic payments.

Other Features

Invoices are template based (HTML) and can be customized to the needs of the client.
Each invoice includes;
Name and contact details of subscriber;
Details of pay period and when payment should be made;
Monthly subscription fee;
Number of available credits;
Number of SMS messages sent and received;
Value Added Tax (VAT) if applicable;
Payments requested in local currency;
Payment instructions;
Any other service provider information that is applicable to all subscribers.
A special notification message can be inserted in each statement, e.g. special instructions for monthly payments.
